Greetings and Happy Almost March! I know many of you are eager to see spring weather and we have enjoyed watching the photos of the snow all over the US. Our children hope one day to see snow again! What a peaceful pace it brings. We pray God’s safety over you and your families as you wrap up the winter season and see the joy of spring blooms very soon. Here in Costa Rica, the second week of February is the first week of school for the new year. Our students got their fresh new crayons, school supplies, school uniforms and more ready to enter a new year. Many of those supplies and sponsorships came from supporters like you. Our girls’ continuation of education is of utmost importance so thank you for all your support. Here is a picture of Amanda, one of our first and youngest girls to enter NOW Costa Rica programming, succeeding and thriving at her school on the first day of 8th grade. Amanda is committed to attending Saturday programs and church at Horizon. We are thankful for her example and for God’s nudges and protection in her life.
Our children, Windsor and River, are on an American calendar so very eager to see Spring Break coming soon. Windsor attends a private Christian school in Jaco and they are looking for teachers. If you or any of your networks know of a Christian trained educator who wants to live and work in Costa Rica, please feel free to respond to this flyer. We know that by helping mobilize missionary families and like-minded international families here, we can change the reputation of this town. Please share among friends. It’s a delightful community to come live and serve!

We had 16 girls and 6 boys earn all their points during our summer intensive course to attend a fund day the weekend after school started. The girls were able to go out for ice cream and swimming at the beach for a Sunday afternoon outing. Thanks to Andrea Fulginiti and her bible study ladies, we had enough hands to ensure nonswimmers were well attended to. The girls still had their swimsuits from when the Brennan family came and donated suits for swimming lessons. Several girls said they had never been in the ocean because their parents work too often or were afraid to help them learn to swim in the sea! It was pure joy!

The boys wanted to simply play football (soccer) and eat pizza with their teacher Dany, who has been an amazing example for the boys. He’s been with us since the beginning now and is doing a great job rising up as a leader for the next generation. We are so thankful for the blessing of yet another, dedicated local leader! Thanks for your prayers for Dany, Sofia, Merary & Doneira as they lead our students this season.

For the second year in a row, TACO Comfort Solutions decided to give a portion of their fishing tournament proceeds to NOW Costa Rica. This family friendly company took time to tour our property and neighborhoods in which we serve. During the awards dinner on their last night in Costa Rica, they invited Jordanna on stage to receive the donation towards the Multiuso Project. We are forever thankful for their support in this season and look forward to their annual visit each year.

Prayer Requests- That our children will stay focused for the end of 1st and 4th grade, that they will continue to draw near to God and be examples in their friend groups
-That the multiuso funds will come swiftly so we can have proper shelter before the rains come
-That the Ailor states-side visit will have divine appointments for supporters and rest/time with family.
-That Jordanna’s health will improve and discernment about various therapies to combat her illness will come easily
-For the vision team from GA coming in April, for the mission team from Goochland, VA coming in May and for the mission team from Tappahannock, VA coming in June
